There are a few excellent arguments debated here.
Usually, I am not very fond of politics. however, occasionally all of us have to take notice. Worthy of note, i am grateful to you.

I did not know what Doppelgänger week was until I googled it last week when I saw many of my facebook friends change their profile pictures. I'm glad you wrote about this because you explained it better than google did! I am surprised that so many people did change their profile pictures, aren't they afraid other people are going to say they look nothing like their "celebrity look alike"? I guess they don't care.

I am starting to love Gowalla. At first I wasn't sure what the point was but after a while I truly began understand the purpose of this app. It's a great way to meet women(at some point), and also further branch out and network with others. I love it!

I know everyone goes bat crazy about the potential for Google to violate ones privacy.

Yet I feel like if that actually did come out, that Google was violating the privacy of its users by, for example, releasing information to the public about a certain individual, or abusing the storage of their data, that there would be a huge public revolt against the company, and a PR nightmare for Google.

I hope for those reasons that they wouldn't abuse our use of their service like that.

i do the same thing when theres like a MTV award show or BET award show that i dont feel like watching, i can just set my mobile updates on my phone and all peoples reaction comes straight to my phone. Also i use it during important sporting events when i like to hear reactions (to things that interest me obviously) But i hate when people down twitter because of exactly what you said. Theres more to twitter than microblogging. I never tweet anything stupid like that in fact, and i ll unfollow you if you have 100s of tweets in a day.

I just had to place this post because I detest multi-tasking (yet, somehow, I get done with my work faster--and do it better--than pretty much everyone else...):

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=95256794

I think Alex makes a good point. Most guys I know only go on Facebook to check out girl's pics.

I don't picture a group of girls jumping on Facebook to track down some guy they have a class with.
