I am surprised that so many people did change their profile pictures, aren't they afraid other people are going to say they look nothing like their "celebrity look alike"? I guess they don't care. I know everyone goes bat crazy about the potential for Google to violate ones privacy.

Also i use it during important sporting events when i like to hear reactions (to things that interest me obviously) But i hate when people down twitter because of exactly what you said. Theres more to twitter than microblogging.
